A founding and managing partner of Daytona Beach, Florida-based law firm Doran Sims Wolfe & Ciocchetti, Ted Doran won multimillion-dollar verdicts and judgments on behalf of the State of Florida. Ted Doran earned his JD from the University of Florida Levin College of Law (UF Law) in Gainesville.

A member of the Association of American Law Schools, UF Law was accredited by the American Bar Association in 1925. US News & World Report has ranked UF Law as the Best Law School in Florida. In the most recent rankings, the law school ranked 24th among public law schools and was 48th overall. Its Environmental and Land Use Law Program ranked 8th among public schools and ranked 19th overall. The school’s Tax Program topped the ranking for public schools and ranked 3rd overall.

Likewise, Law Street Media ranked the family law program of UF Law as No. 5 in the country.

Based on data for tuition, fees, and annual expenses from the American Bar Association, the law school is the third most affordable among the top 50 law schools in the country.

In 2005, a $25 million renovation and expansion was made on the UF Law library, turning it into one of the largest in the Southeast and one of the top 20 in the nation. Donations from faithful alumni and friends have made the school one of the best endowed public law colleges in the country.

UF Law has over 1,000 students with a full-time faculty of 69 and a host of visiting and adjunct professors.
